Local Student Attends 2nd Annual Kumon Student Conference in Canada

Ahmed Hejazi, of Ann Arbor, is a typical 13-year-old boy. He loves hanging out with his friends, playing and watching tennis, reading books and playing video games. But Ahmed is also a 7th grader studying three years above his grade level. In fact, heโ€™s completed the entire Kumon Reading Program which means he has analyzed Shakespeare and he is just a few levels from completing the Kumon Math Program, which ends with calculus. Because of his accomplishments, he was invited to attend the 2nd Annual Kumon Student Conference in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. In July, he joined 50 other students from the United States, Canada and Mexico who are currently studying at least 3 years above their school grade level. Attendees had the opportunity to learn from each other through a variety of activities designed to foster team building, group discussion, critical thinking and creativity. Congratulations Ahmed, keep up the amazing work!
