“Treat others better than you’d like to be treated.” That’s the mission statement Dr. Paula Koch tries to instill in her staff at Cherry Optometry in Chelsea. After 17 years of working for other practices, Dr. Koch decided to open her own private practice in 2008 and has loved every minute of it. A family friendly office is important to her. Her husband and son are both fairly nearsighted; her son starting in glasses in third grade and now happily wearing contacts at age 14. “We strive to use the newest technology with old fashioned care,” says Dr. Koch. Offering Saturday and evening hours, Dr. Koch utilizes newer technology during exams such as the Optomap Retinal Scan to check eye health. The office also boasts an impressive selection of adult eyewear and an awesome “kids only room” with play area and children’s frames. Trips to the doctor, dentist, orthodontist or other health care professionals are part of every family’s routine.
