June is all about the family at the Detroit Institute of Art. From live performances to family-friendly workshops, there’s something for all ages to enjoy together. Drop-in workshops include Water Collage Postcards on Fridays 6-9 p.m., Kites on Saturdays noon - 4 p.m. and Asafo Flags (of Ghana) on Sundays noon - 4 p.m. And don’t miss Family Sundays, each week of the month. June 6 is an afternoon of storytelling, as Roan Judd combines mime, puppetry, and Irish drumming. Then, it’s Brunch with Bach on June 13, followed by another musical experience from LeCompagnie on June 20. The month ends with a demonstration on June 27 by Joy Opoku Ofei, an artist and graphic designer born in Ghana. For more info, visit www.dia.org.
