The 12th annual Kerrytown BookFest provides readers, writers and aficionados of all ages with a series of events to enrich the mind and inspire creativity. For the first time, a panel of four Caldecott Medal-winning illustrators of children’s books, Brian Floca (Locomotive) along with Ann Arbor natives Erin and Philip Stead (A Sick Day for Amos McGee) and Chris Raschka (A Ball for Daisy) will discuss illustration techniques. Kids can also attend a special drawing workshop with Ruth McNally Barshaw, creator of the Ellie McDoodle diaries. And a panel of expert creators will discuss and answer questions about the unique creative process of writing a graphic novel.
Sunday, September 7th, 11am-5pm.
