Snow has arrived, and Ann Arbor Family Press has compiled a list of the area’s best sledding hills. Bundle up, and remember to identify safe sledding paths before heading down the hill.

Dhu Varren Rd, Ann Arbor.
This location offers a hill with a view! Leslie Park features a sledding hill overlooking the golf course and easy parking. Check out the hills at the nearby Leslie Science & Nature Center as well for a variety of sledding runs.
7660 Stony Creek Rd, Ypsilanti
Thrill seekers will enjoy the 275 foot long hill located behind the Lodge building. The hill has a large flat area at the bottom and fenced return paths on either side so you can safely climb back up. Parking, restrooms, inner tube rentals, and a warming space make this hill an easy choice!
1800 Waltham Dr, Ann Arbor.
Featuring a number of small berms, or hills, this park is a lovely location for younger children who want a more gentle sledding experience.
2150 Jackson Rd, Ann Arbor.
A much-beloved Ann Arbor sledding favorite, Veterans Memorial Park features a large hill with two different sled runs down. This is a fast hill and best for bigger kids.
2751 Packard Rd, Ann Arbor.
This park has many hills to choose from and is known for a long, mellow hill perfect for little ones.
3465 E. Huron River Dr, Ann Arbor.
Sometimes referred to lovingly as “the mother of all sledding hills”, Huron Hills Golf Course features a few large hills. One ends with a sand trap that the most adventurous use to launch themselves into the air.
Ypsilanti Community High School
2095 Packard Rd, Ypsilanti.
The large sledding hill at the high school features a wide area making it easier to stay safe walking back up the hill.
1035 Daniel St, Ann Arbor.
This is a spacious hill in a friendly neighborhood park. Surrounding park features include tennis court, basketball court, restroom and play place for children to compliment the sledding experience!
215 Chapin St, Ann Arbor.
This park has a lengthy trail that stretches through sledding hills for the kids. There is also a playplace, basketball court and pond that surrounds the snowy slopes.
1655 Newport Rd, Ann Arbor.
Hills that can be enjoyed close to woods for a beautiful and snowy background while sledding. Also, it is alongside a playground for kids.
