The heartbreak of addiction can strike any family, but for nearly 40 years, Ann Arbor’s Dawn Farm has offered hope, providing residential and outpatient services to help rebuild lives. Now, families struggling with addiction and wondering where to turn have an opportunity to learn. The Dawn Farm Education Series is a free series of annual workshops, providing information on addiction and recovery issues. “Relapse Prevention,” on March 15, examines the warning signs that an addict is slipping back into destructive behaviors, and reveals the best strategies for avoiding high-risk situations. “Codependency,” on March 22, discusses ways for codependent individuals to break out of the passive behavior trap. “Spirituality and Recovery From Addiction,” on March 29, will explore life choices from a higher standpoint, and examine the theory of the Twelve Steps from a spiritual perspective.
