Children on the autism spectrum can sometimes have difficultly communicating, but what if non-verbal communication was an option using various "apps" for Ipods, Iphones and Ipads? The workshop Communication and Visual Supports for Non-Verbal Communicators on Thursday, November 17, will explore the use of these applications
in addition to video modeling, picture exchange communication systems and the importance of creating a visual schedule. The seminar is held at the Autism Collaborative Center, in the old Fletcher School, from 9:30am-3:30pm. $20 for members, $25 for non-members.
