Arrive Alive to tour Michigan Schools: A Safe Driving Awareness Campaign

This time of year, it can be worrisome to have your teen driving in bad weather (help on that HERE). But, what about the consistent concern of them driving under various influences and distractions?

UNITE’s Arrive Alive Tour has announced their Michigan Safe Driving Awareness Campaign for 2022.

They will be visiting 40 schools throughout Michigan for free in partnership with Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan, the Transportation Improvement Association and Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning.

Arrive Alive Tour is the #1 drunk driving and #1 distracted driving simulation in the country. They also offer the only marijuana simulation for driving in the country.

They visit campuses all over the country and educate people of every age on the importance of safe driving. They use a high-tech, state-of-the-art simulator to allow participants to see and feel the consequences of driving distracted or impaired without actually moving or being injured.

The partnership between UNITE’s Arrive Alive Tour and Farm Bureau Insurance aims to educate others on the dangers of distracted driving or driving while intoxicated and keep Michigan roads safe for everyone.

Any schools interested in hosting the Arrive Alive Tour are encouraged to contact the organization at arrivealivetour.com or reach out to your local Farm Bureau Insurance Agency.

There is no charge to host the event.

The tour recently visited Bedford High School in Temperance, Michigan where around 170 students were able to participate in the simulations.  The impaired-driving options allow students to experience what it’s like to drive under the influence of alcohol or marijuana.

Arrive Alive details a COVID-19 Preparedness Plan for all events. They ask that all participants adhere to all local and CDC guidelines concerning COVID-19 while attending their events.
