Black History Month offers families a meaningful opportunity to explore history, culture and creativity together. In Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, local organizations are hosting hands-on, age-appropriate events that help children learn through art, storytelling, food and community connection. Whether your child loves creating, listening, tasting or asking big questions, these events make Black history engaging, accessible and memorable for young learners.
Below are some of the best Black History Month experiences for kids and families happening this year.
