Ann Arbor Earth Day Festival

The Ann Arbor Earth Day Festival Planning Committee, a coalition of local environmental nonprofits and agencies, coordinates this free, family-friendly festival. Attendees can enjoy hands-on activities, educational displays, live entertainment and exhibits from local environmental groups. The event promotes sustainability, with a zero-waste initiative encouraging participants to bring reusable water bottles. Limited parking is available on-site, with additional parking two blocks away at STEAM Elementary School.

A2ZERO Household Electronics Takeback Event

Date & Time: Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Zion Lutheran Church, 1501 W. Liberty St., Ann Arbor

Hosted by the City of Ann Arbor’s Office of Sustainability and Innovations in collaboration with Comprenew, a certified Michigan-based electronics waste refurbisher and recycler, this event offers residents an opportunity to responsibly recycle electronics. Registration is required, and the event is limited to household electronics.

Earth Day at the Arb

Date & Time: Tuesday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Location: Nichols Arboretum, Ann Arbor

Celebrate Earth Day by experiencing “Awe in the Arb” at Nichols Arboretum. This drop-in event features guided activities and nature experiences starting every hour. Visitors can stop by the Visitor Center to learn more about the Arboretum and connect with the community. Light refreshments will be provided.

Earth Day at Leslie Science & Nature Center

Location: Leslie Science & Nature Center, 1831 Traver Rd, Ann Arbor

Join local organizations and vendors to celebrate gardening, nature, and hands-on activities. Project Grow will have a table at the event to discuss gardening and sustainability.

Earth Day Celebration by Ann Arbor for Public Power

Date & Time: Saturday, April 26 from 1-5 p.m.
Location: Clonlara School, 1289 Jewett Ave, Ann Arbor

Hosted by Ann Arbor for Public Power, this celebration features over a dozen local community organizations and a lineup of speakers, presenters, and activities. Keynote address is by Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, Former city and county public health official and host of the podcast “American Dissected”, as well as author of “Healing Politics: A Doctor’s Journey into the Heart of Our Political Epidemic and Medicare for All: A Citizen’s Guide”
