The Ann Arbor area is home to several beautiful family-friendly green spaces. But let’s not forget that our beloved furry friends love to join in on all the outdoor summer fun! There are numerous dog parks and pet-friendly trails in the Ann Arbor area for our furry friends to romp around this season. So pack your bag, boots, sunscreen, sunglasses and fido’s leash to explore these dog parks and hiking trails with your pup this summer!

Ann Arbor
Broadway Park
Featuring a network of maple and oak trees, this five-acre park includes a fenced-in 1.37 acre dog park with different areas for large or small dogs.

Hours: Open daily Dawn to dusk. Closed for maintenance Mondays 8:30-11:30 AM and Fridays 12:30-3 PM
Olson Park Dog Park
Connected to the Olson Park, this 0.74-acre fenced-in dog park is part of a larger expansive green space featuring a pond, rain garden and recreational facilities.

Swift Run Dog Park
A 10-acre dog park with benches, pet waste stations and a designated area for dogs weighing less than 20 pounds.

Hours: Open daily dawn to dusk. Closed for maintenance Mondays 8:30-11:30am and Fridays 12:30-3pm
Saline
Mill Pond Park Dog Park
A one-acre off-leash fenced lush green space with agility ramps and water access. There are separate areas for large and small dogs. The greater Mill Pond Park includes a pet-friendly walking trail.

Canton
Canton Dog Park
Open to dog park members year round, this newly renovated dog park includes six-acres of fenced in open green space for dogs to enjoy. The park also hosts various events, so check the website for more.

Hours: Open daily 6am-10pm. Closed for maintenance every Wednesday morning from 6:30- 9:30am
Northville and Novi Area
Cady Street Dog Park
A 0.7-acre fully-fenced dog park with seating.
215 W. Cady St. Northville (Located behind the Northville Art House)
Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-8pm (or dusk); Sat & Sun 10am-7pm
Marv Gans Community Park Dog Park
A 4-acre fully-fenced dog park with agility equipment, that can be accessed Five Mile Road entrance, just west of Beck Rd. The pet-friendly area is part of the larger 119-acre community park also known as Northville Community Park. Features include a secure, key fob entry.

Novi Dog Park
A 3-acre off-leash green space for our furry friends which features double-gated key fob entry, dog water fountains, agility equipment, benches and more! For more information on dog park memberships, check out the website.

Lyon Oaks Dog Park
