U-Pick Farms in Washtenaw County

As summer continues and we inch toward (hopefully) beautiful fall weather, we’re all looking for fun ways to get outdoors! Whether spending time with family, friends, or just on your own, u-pick farms offer a great way to soak up the sun and get some great produce and/or beautiful flowers for your home.

There’s no shortage of options in Washtenaw County, so check out some of our exciting local offerings below!

Wasem Fruit Farm

Located in Milan, this u-pick farm offers opportunities to pick apples in the fall, and raspberries for a limited time in August. They also have a shop which sells apple cider and a variety of fresh donuts in many flavors.

DeBuck’s Family Farm

Located in Belleville, this farm offers a variety of festivals throughout the summer and fall. U-pick flowers are available in the summer and pumpkins are available in autumn. The farm also offers many attractions for the whole family, including games and rides.

Wing Farms

This historic Ann Arbor farm has been in operation since 1852 and offers a u-pick pumpkin patch and Christmas tree farm during the fall and winter.

Schell Family Farm

This Pinckney farm is filled with fun, offering u-pick flowers in the summer, and a variety of produce, which varies by season. The farm is now open for the season with u-pick flowers, u-pick sweet corn, sunflower fields and peaches. Additional produce, which varies seasonally, includes apples, pumpkins, plums, pears and sweet cherries. This location also offers wagon rides, Halloween attractions and Christmas trees for sale.

Blueville Acres Blueberry Farm

Calling all blueberry lovers, this is the u-pick farm for you! Operating from mid-July to mid-August, Blueville Acres gives you the chance to pick your own berries. The farm also offers special adult-only u-pick dates and times. Check their website for more information.

Wiard’s Orchards

Open each fall, Wiard’s Orchards brings the fun of u-pick apples and pumpkins along with the excitement of a country fair all to one place! Attractions include a petting farm, corn maze, giant triple slide and wagon rides.

Manchester Blooms U-Pick Flower Farm

Located in Manchester, this flower farm offers sunflowers, cosmos, zinnia, poppies, clarkia, calendula, daisy, mallow, strawflower, cornflower, giant marigolds, baby’s breath, forget me nots and more summer annuals.

The Little Flower Soap Co.

This u-pick flower farm in Chelsea provides customers with clippers and paper wrap. Vases are also available for purchase. Make a beautiful bouquet out of a variety of flowers including dahlias, zinnias, snap dragons and more.

Slow Farm

Located in Ann Arbor, this certified organic, woman-owned farm offers u-pick produce in a variety of offerings including cabbage, garlic, peas, flowers and strawberries as the season allows.
