The 8th Annual Ann Arbor Russian Festival is set to take place 11am to 8pm on Saturday, September 18 and 1 to 7pm on September 19.

The Ann Arbor Russian Festival is one of the few festivals in the area that focuses on celebrating Russian and Ukrainian heritage. The festival will take place at St. Vladimir Russian Orthodox Church, and admission is totally free. Festival patrons will have the chance to take tours of the Russian church, with a short performance at the beginning of each tour by the St. Vladimir Festal Choir.

Additionally, there will be plenty of food and sweets to try. St. Xenia’s Sisterhood will offer a variety of foods for you to try. Foods include pelmeni (a type of dumpling), crepes with different stuffings (called Blini), and Russian cabbage salad, to name a few. After filling up on delicious and authentic Russian/Ukrainian food, head over to the Russian Tea Room for authentic Russian sweets!

Of course, the festival will also feature a variety of vendors for participants to explore. You’ll have the opportunity to peruse items presented by different vendors. You’ll also be able to check out Russian/Ukrainian folk music and performances. Performances include showings of Russian ballet, Russian Bell Ringing, and more. For those with little ones, you can check out the festival’s Kids Corner, which has a bounce house, playground, coloring, and more fun for the entire family.

Entrance to the festival and parking is absolutely free. Be sure to make time to come out and visit the festival! For more information, visit the Ann Arbor Russian Festival’s website.
