Former First Lady Michelle Obama will be the star and executive producer of a new cooking show aimed at kids. Obama announced the project, entitled Waffles + Mochi, via her Facebook page on February 9. “In many ways, this show is an extension of my work to support children’s health as First Lady,” Obama said. The program will focus on a pair of puppets as they learn about food and work to become chefs. Obama will star as a supermarket owner who helps guide Waffles and Mochi in their adventures. The series will be available for streaming on Netflix beginning on March 16.
