From the director of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” comes this fantasy adventure about a teenager who’s in for the ride of his life. It’s the 21st century, but the gods of Mount Olympus and assorted monsters have walked out of the pages of high school student Percy Jackson’s (Logan Lerman) Greek mythology texts and into his life. And they’re not happy: Zeus’ (Sean Bean) lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. Even more troubling is the sudden disappearance of Percy’s mother (Catherine Keener). As Percy finds himself caught between battling gods, he and his friends embark on a cross-country adventure to catch the true lightning thief, save Percy’s mom, and unravel a mystery more powerful than
the gods themselves.
Also stars Kevin McKidd as Poseidon, Pierce Brosnan as Chiron, Uma Thurman as Medusa, Rosario Dawson as Persephone, and Steve Coogan as Hades. What a cast!

Rated PG-13 for some sexual material and brief partial nudity. In theaters

It’s love all around – or not – in this star-studded romantic comedy starring
Jessica Alba, Bradley Cooper, Patrick Dempsey, Jennifer Garner,
Taylor Lautner, Anne Hathaway, and many others. No one does romantic
comedies better than director Garry Marshall, and he continues that trend
here. And is there a better way to spend Valentine’s Day than at the movies
with your sweetheart? I think not. In fact, this is a great date movie for
parents. Leave the kids at home with a sitter!
