Around The World In 80 Days—Grab your friends and put on your thinking caps to solve one of the highest rated escape rooms in the state of Michigan! Decode Ann Arbor allows groups of players to put their minds to the test to solve challenges set in notable locations such as Paris, India, San Francisco, and Fiji.
Players will be accompanied by their guide—a hot air balloon pilot named Milo— that will take them on a once-in-a-lifetime journey around the world. This immersive game was constructed over two years at its new location— a 1,000 square foot, formerly abandoned warehouse.
“The large open space provided the opportunity to build big,” said Decode Ann Arbor co-owner Patton Doyle in a statement. “We built up as well as out, including a towering 16-foot hot air balloon! I’m really excited to share what we’ve created with our fans… Our adventure is safe, as well as fun.”
The escape room is 60 minutes long, and tickets cost $33 per person, with a 6 ticket minimum.
In order to keep Decode a safe environment, all employees are fully vaccinated and players are required to wear face masks at all times during in-building gameplay.
There are also two alternative games that can be enjoyed without entering the Ann Arbor location:
Windows To The World— Park your vehicle in the front of the building for this game, where players will still have the chance to chart the course of their journey around the world! Mobile phones will be used to discover iconic destinations and solve riddles! The cost is $29 per game and is for 1-4 people together, or competitively.
Drive-In Adventure— For this game, park your vehicle behind the building, where The Doc is testing a teleportation device. When something seems to go wrong, he needs your help to fix it! Work together on two mobile phones inside your vehicle to save the day! This game runs nightly starting at 6pm and is $58 for one car of players.
