Dating back to the 1800s, farmers markets are rooted in our nation’s rich history. They were once community hubs: places where neighborhood residents could mingle and trade unique products.
Eastern Market was the first farmers market to launch in Michigan back in 1803. Today, farmers markets often feature special items, including novel gifts, crafts, baked goods and fresh fruits and vegetables. Summer is the perfect season to explore these local markets. Ann Arborites are lucky to have several options.
