Perfect Scenario Event Venue recently held a Grand Opening in Saline to introduce the space, with live music, a food truck, mocktails and more.

Owner Jenni Roby had been looking for a new business venture. She realized that Saline had a need for party and event rental space and began to look for available properties. She found an ideal location at The Oaks Shopping Plaza on Michigan Avenue and began to dream of what the space could offer to the community.
She enlisted the help of Mel Desloover, event manager, and Lisa Johnson, operations officer, along with a staff of local high school students who will assist in child care, set up and clean up and more.
“The concept is that this is an event space that you can rent,” said Mel Desloover. “We will also have nightly events. We will have live music and local vendors. It’s a family friendly space. We are so excited to come to Saline, and we are looking forward to becoming a part of the community.”
A place to play
The space features a stage for live performances, a mocktail bar, a gift shop and a children’s and toddler’s play place.
“We’re thinking of a couple of different ideas for kids,” Desloover said. “One I really love is maybe having a children’s local book author to unveil their book, do a story read, then the author can sell their books and do autograph signing for the kids. We’re also thinking of movie night with toddlers and a puppet show evening. We are also thinking of art in the park with a local artist. We have some kids picnic tables outside. Arts and crafts during the day and Mom can enjoy some time alone.”
Tweens and teens
There is also a lounging space for teens, as well as tables where they can play games, work on school projects or finish homework.
“A lot of kids don’t have anywhere to go before their parents come home. Why not come here? Maybe we can set up a couple of hours for teen night or teen afternoon. We’re thinking of having some monitors here and maybe they can do some gaming or do their homework.”
They recently hosted a trivia night for teens, with plans to offer more teen programs in the future.

In addition to offering community events such as live music, comedy nights, country line dancing and possibly speed dating, the space is also available for renting. There is a capacity for 150, making it an ideal space for bridal and baby showers, parties and receptions, corporate events and more.
The staff is hoping to make this a safe space for friends and family to come together in fun and fellowship.
“The mocktail bar goes with the vibe here. We’re thinking throwback, going back to the vinyl records, how it used to be when things weren’t so complicated. Let’s get off the phones, let’s get off social media. Just one to one, face to face, enjoy the person sitting across from you,” Desloover said.
Lisa Johnson, operations officer, is excited about the possibilities.

“I think it is going to be a great place for people to come and bring their families. They can come have dinner with their family, bring their kids and meet up with families here, set up meetings here. It’s a good space, a relaxed space for people.”
The gift shop features products from local vendors, including artwork, jewelry, coffees and teas, and more. Owner Jenni Roby feels this is another way to support the community.
“This place is for teens and parents and adults who want a space they can go to that is family friendly. They can bring their kids to a concert, and it’s a safe space,” Roby said
