Local authors Susan Russell, Daniele O’Brien and Diane Friese want to share their love for communicating with children in a brand new way. The ladies recently wrote and published Aprilmae Gets Carried Away. “Fairies have taken many forms in many cultures. We hope our wee fairies tip-toe their way into the hearts and imaginations of children,” said Friese. The tale follows Aprilmae, a young fairy on her way to fi ll her painting with colors. As she travels, Aprilmae becomes eager to share her love for color with the human world, but she has trouble with the translation.
