In the spring of 2014, Ann Arbor will launch a community bike share program. Leading the program is The Ann Arbor Clean Energy Coalition, who helped in soliciting a name for the project where over 200 suggestions were received. Eli Cooper, Ann Arbor’s transportation program manager, said bike sharing offers an opportunity to dramatically increase bicycling in the city. Stay tuned for the winning name’s announcement!
Anyone age 18 and up will be able to join as daily, weekly or annual members to utilize rentable bicycles. Early estimates indicate $5 day passes, $20 weekly passes and $60 annual memberships.
