After a year of not swimming in public pools, the Ann Arbor public pools are now taking reservations for the summer. Here’s how to dip your toes in the water this summer!

As summer is fast approaching, that means swim season is about to start! Although last year didn’t leave us much room for the public pool, Ann Arbor’s public pools are working to get us back in the water. Ann Arbor’s public pools are taking reservations for their bungee swimming, family swim, and lap lane sessions for the summer.

Community members can visit the Ann Arbor Pools booking site to reserve a spot at either Buhr Park, Fuller Park, or Veterans Memorial Park pools. Swim times are limited to 80 minutes per reservation and guests cannot reserve more than one spot per day.

Ten minutes at the end of each session will let guests transition between sessions.

Each pool has its own operating hours, and time slots are available from morning until evening. Individuals are to pay in advance to reserve a spot to ensure the safety of staff and other patrons and align with social distancing protocols. To keep the community safe, day-of reservations will not be available.

Family swim times cost $31 to reserve and up to six family members who live in the same household can come to the session. Single bungee swims and lap lanes will cost $6.

Also, all swim lessons will be offered at Vets Memorial Park Pool this year. Lessons will start at the beginning of June. Registration for swim classes will open on Saturday, May 15.
