Glacier Hills Senior Living Community is looking for volunteers to come build snowmen for the residents to view. Quarantine has affected all of us, but none more so than people that already had to live alone. To get kids out and active, and give seniors who have been isolated a little more active, Glacier Hills Senior Living Community wants people to come out and build snowmen.
Come bundle up and get ready to be creative. If you donโt want to build a snowman, feel free to build snow animals or other snow sculptures that residents will be able to see from their window. Remember, the bigger, the better! Seniors will have an easier time seeing larger works of snow sculpture than small.
There are a few rules to remember when making your snow creation. Be sure to not approach residents. Theyโve been working hard to stay safe and healthy. If you do find that you have to be in the presence of someone outside of your home, be sure to wear a mask and stay six feet away. Feel free to take pictures and email them to gabvan@glacierhills.org. This way, the facility can share images of your snowmen! If you decide to send pictures, remember to include permission to use the photo in printed and digital media for both adults and minors alike.
To find the best spot to build your snowman, be sure to check out their map of the premises.
