In this week’s edition of 4 for Families, parents deserve a little break. Friday, drop the kids off at the Humane Society and enjoy a night on the town. Then dive into the rest of our selected events – including an interactive puppet show and an all-ages chess tournament – with the whole family this weekend!

Come join furry friends at the Humane Society of Huron Valley. This paw-tastic event is for ages 5 to 11 and includes adoptable animal interactions, a cheese pizza dinner and an animal-themed movie. Children are invited to wear their pajamas, bring a sleeping bag and pillow and be ready for some animal-themed fun while parents enjoy a night out on the town.

This event is intended for adults, teens, and youth in kindergarten and up. A relaxing and challenging afternoon of chess – one of the world's most popular games!
