Writing a children’s book has become a popular way for celebrities and authors who have already created a following amongst adults to broaden their spectrum of fans and readership. The University of Michigan Special Collections Library will showcase their eighth annual Children’s Books By Famous Folks exhibit, now showing through Monday, November 29. The annual event is featured at the Ann Arbor District Library’s lower level glass cases and will offer visitors a chance to view books by Whoopi Goldberg, Madonna and Katie Couric. The exhibit is open on Mondays from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sundays from noon to 6 p.m.
