Photographs capture family moments that we want to preserve. And in this digital age, we take for granted that every moment can be easily captured and kept forever. But older photographs can be frighteningly fragile. Keeping you from losing those precious memories is the mission of Priceless Photo Preservation, a new Michigan-based company founded by three U of M graduates in 2011. Rob Hoffman, Eric Hansen and Hanna Stelman are trained archivists who can save your old family photos from the ravages of time and convert them into high-quality digital images. They’ll help you with appraisal and come up with a plan for the best way to preserve your personal history. Images can be saved on archival-quality CDs or DVDs, or uploaded to secure photo-sharing websites. They’re even able to scan fragile older photos intact in photo albums to prevent any damage. The best part? They’ll come to you. PPP will come to your location (in southeast or south central Michigan or northwest Ohio) in order to pick up and/or appraise your material, and they’ll drop it off when they’re done. Don’t wait for time to degrade your memories.
