GIVE-2012-293

Liven up your pool time on Splash Days, held on summer Saturdays at the city of Ann Arbor’s public outdoor pools, including Fuller Pool, Buhr Pool, and Veteran’s. Participants in Give 365, the Parks and Rec department’s volunteer corps, structure plenty of fun in and out of the water, including pool games like Sharks and Minnows, crafts that may include origami and mask-making, and poolside activities, including some especially geared to toddlers. “In the past, we’ve had a piñata and a watermelon-eating contest,” says Sarah Walls, Assistant Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator for Give 365. “All ages are welcome; we really try to make sure that everyone from very young kids to teens have a great time.” Free with pool admission; fees range from $4-$5.
