Party for hope

Dawn Farm, a residential facility for recovery from chemical dependence, will be holding its 37th Anniversary Dawn Farm Jamboree on Sunday, September 12, from 1 to 6 p.m. This is a free event, featuring entertainment for the whole family, including hayrides, crafts, a petting zoo, face painting, and tours of the facility—an actual 74-acre working farm. Live music will be provided by NoteWorthy.

Dawn Farm was founded in 1973 by Gary Archie and Jack Scholtus with the mission of promoting long-term recovery from addiction through a compassionate, work-based approach, and now operates multiple facilities in the Ann Arbor area. The Jamboree is free, but silent auctions and donated goods for sale provide an opportunity to support an organization that continues to provide an invaluable service to the community.

Dawn Farm is at 6633 Stoney Creek Rd. in Ypsilanti. Call 734-485-8725, or see for more.
