Simply decadent

A2, meet D2. Although Decadent Delight isn’t new to the Ann Arbor area, its recent move to 416 W. Huron allows the company to serve more of the sweet stuff. Owner and operator Bryant Stuckey decided to relocate his business from its former location (inside Katherine’s Catering) to allow for a retail location. “I wanted to be able to offer my clients the opportunity to walk in and pick up cookies and cakes without having to pre-order,” said Stuckey.

And Ann Arborites are grateful. The retail shop features some of Stuckey’s best sellers, including Flourless Chocolate Torte, carrot cake, mini-cheesecakes, and his favorite, cinnamon rolls. Morning pastries and freshly brewed Ann Arbor’s Mighty Good Coffee make it a delicious stop on the morning commute.

Specializing in traditional and not-so-traditional designer cakes and pastries, Decadent Delight offers wedding and special occasion cakes, fine desserts and cookies. Customers can also pre-order delights (most orders require a minimum 48-hour notice), and request delivery within Ann Arbor and surrounding areas.

Stuckey, a graduate of the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago, moved to Ann Arbor to be a pastry chef at Moveable Feast. In 2004, he began working at Decadent Delight, purchasing the company in November 2005. “What really sets us apart is that we make everything from scratch, The eggs are fresh. The butter is fresh. If there is fruit in something, we’ll use fresh fruit to create it,”
explained Stuckey.

It’s this high standard of quality and taste that make Decadent Delight so deliciously delightful.
