A Graceful Addition

The sweet two-year-old little girl is the inspiration behind the name of the new luxury cosmetics boutique Cyndi Clark just opened in downtown Ann Arbor.
Clark, an Ann Arborite, was working as an executive in the cosmetics industry and facing a possible cross country move. Wanting to stay close to her granddaughter, Lily Grace, she decided to combine her expertise in the cosmetics industry and retail management to open the appropriately named “Lily Grace Cosmetics” in December. “First it was a personal decision for me,” she explains. “I wanted to stay in Ann Arbor. I feel a huge responsibility for my involvement as a grandparent,” she says. “That’s an obligation that I took seriously. And she's stinking cute,” she laughs. Clark also welcomed the opportunity to bring hard-to-find make-up and skin care brands to customers in the area. Her shop offers unbiased expert advice on a variety of specialty brands, including Trish McEvoy, Bliss, Tammy Fender, Barcelona, Darphin and more. “There are a lot of women who would love the opportunity to be introduced to new brands that have amazing efficacy, price points that are good and products that work,” she says. Clark promises a friendly, no-pressure experience at Lily Grace Cosmetics, where shoppers are encouraged to try products first and stick with what works for them. “You're not going to get pushy sales at Lily Grace,” she explains. “We're here to help, period. We’re part of people's lives.”
